Dimitris was born and raised in Athens, Greece. From early on he followed in the footsteps of his father, Nikos Barbatsis, by pursuing a career in law. After completing his law degree, he pursued a Master’s in Maritime Law.

With over two decades of experience, Dimitris is a corporate-business lawyer, offering comprehensive legal services to both Greek and multinational clients. Dimitris has a proven track record in handling corporate and commercial transactions of all scopes, from intricate director and shareholder disputes to the drafting and negotiation of manufacturing contracts, distribution, and supply agreements. His legal acumen extends to providing expert counsel in trademark, copyright, privacy, and data protection law, ensuring that his clients are well-protected in today’s complex regulatory landscape.

In addition to his corporate and commercial law expertise, Dimitris is well-versed in employment law, providing guidance that helps businesses navigate the often-challenging employment regulations. He holds a position as a legal advisor to the Labour Institute of GSEE.

When Dimitris is not wearing his lawyer hat, he enjoys playing basketball and embarking on road trips with his wife, Eliana, and their daughter, Smaragda.
